Instagram has released a new application for creating photo collages from existing images in the device. New app called Layout. While creating the Layout app, Instagram used the same principles that underlie Hyperlapse video processing app: a simple interface with good features that will please both advanced and less experienced users.
If your smartphone has accumulated too many shots, Layout automatically sorts them into three categories: “all”, “recent” and “faces.” The last category allows you to view all the pictures, which are has people faces in it.
In the Layout app you can build a photo collage of up to nine photos. In this case, the application itself offers 6 to 12 variants of collages for selected pictures. Photos can be dragged and placed as your taste. When pictures are added to the collage, each of them is automatically centered, focusing on the status of the person in the picture, but if you want these settings can be adjusted manually.
Photobooth mode allows you to create a collage of your selfies (up to four) and automatically link them. Currently, this feature works only with front camera. You can also urn the image upside down or mirror display a picture.
Upon completion of editing images are ready to be shared on Instagram or Facebook. If a picture is published in the “native” social networking application, the user can further process collage filters, etc.
Layout application is available for free in the App Store.
