Apple Sends Out Invitations For The March 9 Event

Apple sends out invitations to journalists and members of the press to the conference dedicated to Apple Watch. The event will be held March 9 at 10 a.m. PDT and will be broadcasted live .

Traditionally, Apple just does not name the topic of the press conference, however, the company gives a hint to the invitation using the event image that says Spring forward, conference will take place at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

Previously CEO Tim Cook reported that Apple plans to release the Apple Watch in early 2015. Later, the media reported that the device will go on sale in the spring. In February, Apple CEO confirmed that Apple Watch will be released in April. According to some reports, the company has already ordered 6.5 million smart watches. If these numbers are correct, then they are hoping for a successful launch at the level of the first iPad.

Apple Watch will cost $349. According to unconfirmed reports, we are talking about a basic model with anodized aluminum. Apple Watch in stainless steel housing will cost about $500. And the cost of the premium Apple Watch Edition in pink or yellow gold will reach $20,000.

Together with Apple Watch it is expected to that we will see iOS 8.2, which will bring full support for for Apple Watch to the iDevices, allowing them to pair with Apple Watch.

We can expect the 12-inch MacBook Air at this event with Apple’s Retina display and a passive cooling system. The main highlight of the machine will be an entirely new form factor. The laptop is so thin that the company had to sacrifice for the sake of reducing the thickness of a standard USB-port.

Instead of the standard USB-port 12-inch MacBook Air can get a USB Type C. This interface replaces the Thunderbolt. According to reports, it will also charge the battery, and connect to an external display. How successful will be this decision, time will tell.

We can also see the updated version of iPad which can be the iPad Plus. It is expected that the product will get a 12.2 to 12.9 inches of screen, and the thickness of the device is from 6.9 to 7.5 mm. The device will have four speakers, two of which are placed on the upper end of the body, and two – on the bottom. The iPad Plus may have its own stylus to use on the screen.
